Just bought a new V50 2.0D Sport (in black) for my wife. So far it's excellent but can anyone answer me a couple of things?
Is there a way to set a buzzer alarm to let you know you have left the lights on?
Any ipod connection recomendations?
Cheers

But on mine you can't leave the lights on unless you deliberately leave the light switch in the "I want the parking lights illuminated" positon. With switch in off/on position, all lights go out with ignition off. Maybe I'm missing something here.
ipod connection can be of no help at all sorry.
In either day or night running mode, you can't leave your lights on when you take the key out. Only if you have switched to marker lights (central setting) will they stay on. Shouldn't drain battery overnight though. Great car BTW. I had three of them for six months & ca. 10k miles each (not boasting - just work for Volvo). Now in S60 D5 though and miss the sharper handling quite a bit. 08MY 190PS/400Nm manual V50 D5 looking tempting next time around though Should be a monster.
If you've just bought a new (07 or 07.5MY) V50 that is above S trim level you already have an iPod (AUX) 3.5mm jack plug input socket behind the floating dash section (LH side). this is just an Aux input though so will not charge your iPod and you will need to use the iPod itself to change track etc. There is a fully integrated DFA (ca. £300) that means you have full dashboard/steering wheel control of your iPod though (& charges). Expensive but worth every penny for the added convenience and safety.
Hope that helps.

I've got an 06 plate V50 SE (which I was told is an 07 model year). As the other people above have stated, you can't leave the lights on once you've removed the key....unless you leave the parking lights on.
On my car (which has the autochanger) there is a aux jack as mentioned above. I've not tried to use it, but have been told it is an Ipod connection
