hi

just bought a S Reg volvo S40 and only just realises the airbag light is showing red - it does look as though someone has attempted a fix.

I must admit i did not notice this when i bought it as i was too busy test driving it !

Also the engine temperature reads 88celcius but engine running fine.

Is this going to cost me?

cheers

cmb

hi,the airbag light shows signs of a fix ??? were about ? also the the engine temp does not show a temp scale! if in middle of gauge all ok,is the temp reading ambient temp ? if reading high faulty sensor in bumper.

hi

after paranoia it seems the airbag has not been touched its just where the steering wheel forms to make the horn !

local garage reset airbag sensor for left passenger seat today(phew ! )

sorry bout that one!

on the trip computer its reads exterior temperature then back up the scale i am presuming is the engine temp?? or am i incorrect?

whats an average mpg for this car , I seem to be getting 33mpg round town - about right??
cheers

hi,if left seat sensor may reg new one, might come back on again, yes the info centre is the outside temp only,if goes up to silly temps will req new sensor in bumper, mpg is about right, are generally reliable cars, best regards Paul.
