Buying used from a Volvo dealer.

Hi all i've been looking at a second hand XC90.

The dealer has offered me £600 or 2.2% off a 05 car before any real negotiation. What sort of discount is realistic to aim for? I thought somewhere towards 8% may be possible?

Try and get an online quote from somewhere like 'DrivetheDeal' which offer fleet discounts to individual punters.

Best to shop around other dealers, I saw a xc70 about 2 months ago in wooburn green, had 60,000 on the clock but still costing over £17,000 price margin.The car is still for sale(hence they havent lowered the price) where as other garages or check online with volvo do a better deal, do some searching then if they want your custom they should meet you half way!
