S60 front passenger window
Discussion
My nearside front window won't go up or down automatically, unlike the dealer courtesy car I was given yesterday while the car was in for service. The dealer told me it is a software option and would cost about £45 to install. I was sceptical about this, but the manual does say this function is only available in certain markets. The car is a 2004 model, the demonstrator a 2006 model.
What does yours do?

The button lift for the passenger's window is different to the driver's - ie. there's a notch half way up the driver's side switch which then kicks in the auto-up.
This is what made me check: all three switches are the same (passenger door and two switches on driver's door), all are two-stage. Rear window switches, which look the same, are one-stage.

When you say "automatically" do you mean 'one touch' up/down?
Yes. Plus, my original post was wrong, it works going down.

That fits. I had a 1993 Mondeo with a similar set-up - done for safety reasons - but I've had other cars since that work 'properly'.
