Wonder if anyone can help.

Recently got a S40 T5 and not sure about the tyre pressures.

The tag on the drivers door says 39 PSI front and 32 PSI rear.

This seems quite high for the front - I've never had a car with such high pressures.

Is it right - or am I reading the tag wrong ??

I'd have expected something closer to 32-30 on standard wheels, can't believe they'd be saying 39. I run 39-36 on my C70T5 with bigger rims but that's down to previous owners trial and error knowledge not mine! What does it have in the handbook? (it's not in psi but there's a conversion table on the interweb).

Hi.
I reckon you are looking at the fully laden pressures.
There should be some others on the sticker.
On my old S40 T4 they used to be 32 front and 30 rear on 16" wheels.
I am guessing they will have 33 and 30 on 17s, but best to look in your manual.
Failing that, just ring your local dealer and ask.
Cheers.

I have an S60 which has 31 front and 30 rear according to the sticker on the inside of the fuel filler cap.

Thanks...I'll check again.

Certainly seems high. I'll check the wheel sizes as well.

Checked with Dealer - 32 PSI all round.

39 PSI (Front) is if you are regularly doing over 100mph !!
