940 Door Mirror

Hi all, well, my 940 now fits through the garage door opening. Hoever in ddition to the brakes I now need to repair the door mirror!!
My 740 Haynes manual tells me to stick a screwdriver up the hole and rotate the retaining ring however with the mirror surround on the garage floor, I can see into the back of the (cracked) mirror which is part disconnected from the motor by the looks of it. I cannot see what needs disconnwcting however unless it is the 4 plastic pins. Am I missing something here (apart from a brain that is?
ps anyone got a spare passenger side glass?
