hi, today i was driving swiftly, and my car runs ok,, but it sounds louder

anwyays, i managed to put the boonet up today, and i was wondering how i get the oil top opened?

i have tried to squeeze it and pull it but it wont come off

what kind of oil do i put in it> it says castrol oil on the top..but what oil do i need for a diesel car

Isn't the oil cap a screw top? (Righty-Tighty, Lefty Loosey)

If you've got a handbook it gives the quality standard of the recommended oil, which most premium oils seem to meet.
(If you've not got a handbook, give a shout and I can delve mine out.)

hi i managed to find it. i am quite stupid at times, the screw top on the engine cover was not the engine oil..but i managed to find the dipstick that is more to the front of the engine, covered in red

anyhow, i have lost the manual..can't find it, will have to look for it on the weekend

if you can find yours, and type back it would be much appreciated

mine is a D5t (185bhp, i would love to know the best type of oil for it

also, is BP super diesel better than normal diesel> anyone know if it makes a difference? i couldnt tell last time i put it in

I'm under the impression that the super/ultimate diesels will not make the car any faster, but are better for the car as they contain superior cleaning products.
