Just had a weekend in Denmark and Sweden in a shiny S60 2.4. Managed to rack up a modest 800km and nowhere near filling up the tank on the thing. Good job really as I have no clue what fuel they put in it BUT judging by it's sluggishness and unwillingness to make progress it was probably running on water.

Really nice and comfy, good stereo, climate and decent driving position (after some fiddling) all undone by awful acceleration.

So, looking at the Volvo website the 2.4 is either Diesel or 'Bi-fuel'. Deffo not a diesel so what's this bi-fuel nonsense? The website lists it as being 140PS - clearly not enough for sucha big heavy car that only seemed worth accelerating between 1500 and 3k rpm. Had to struggle to overtake a caravan towing passat on a DC as we pulled away from some lights.

If anyone's thinking of buying one of these don't - get the diesel at least, it'll be more fun.

I was really dissapointed with it as I expected a modern 2.4 car to be at least entertaining to drive. The TC was pretty keen too!
