I've bought a P reg V40 Volvo. Now, I did get it cheap, but it only has one key with it!
Q1. Can you get a spare key froma volvo dealer? I assume we're talking silly money?
Q2. A freind recently wrote off his T4 (which had the full compliment of keys), and I've now got his central locking blipper jobby. Can this be recoded? How much would they charge?
Do all volvos from that age have the blipper as standard?
ANy info helpful as always!

Have the same issue with my 850. When I bought it last year there was only one key.
Haven't bothered to get a spare yet, but I rang Volvo recently to see how much they charge and was told anywhere from £110 - £140. The key itself costs £67, but the remainder is made up with labour charges to code it for your car's immobiliser, as these tend to vary from dealer to dealer.
Ring a couple of Volvo dealers to get comparative quotes.

I have a new shape V70 and on this model you cannot reprogram the key fobs unless you have the special programing number that comes with a new fob-most of the ones on ebay will not have this so are useless.
My new key + fob cost me £150 with the programing from my local Volvo dealer.
