I've had two Volvos now and I'm currently looking at trading my current S60 in for a replacement.
I've been a member of English Heritage for over 8 years now and I had not been aware that through membership you can save £1,000's on a new Volvo .... I found out by accident whilst reading through a magazine.
Armed with this detail I visited my dealer and on an S60D5 I can get 7% discount and free metallic paint. It does vary by model and some models do not attract any discount.
Whilst there I was chatting with my regular Salesman and he informed me that discounts are available to several bodies within the UK including the police, firefighters, and armed forces.
My other half works for ASDA and on an S60D5 she can get a 15% discount.
Volvo do not advertise this as it is down to the parties involved to let their people know, but it is worth enquiring at your workplace and to clubs/associations you may be a member of.

Yes - I used to sell Volvo.

Loads of affiliate schemes (BT, Civil Service, Caudwell Group, Freemasons, etc)

all have a decent chunk of discount. You can still try and haggle a bit more off, out of the dealers handling fee...

Apparantly my local Volvo dealer registers all their customers in the "Volvo Golf Club" to get this discount!
