bike carrier on an xc90?
Discussion
If you've got nothing on the roof I suggest you go for a roof option as they're safest just beware of height restrictions.
It depends what sort of bikes you're carrying but if you get the bars then a good source for the attachment is Dyson ??? you drop the front wheel off and fix it to the roof bars and strap the rear wheel in and the bike doesn't move at all no mater what.
I say all of this from experience where during the summer I was racing every Tuesday evening near Thame but worked in Birmingham and had no worries at all loading the bike like this whilst trapsing up and down the M40 and was always running late if you know what I mean.
The only issue I had was it was so good and forgot it was there as I went into a car park with height restriction and wrote off a £2k bike.............bugger.
If you need contact details for Dyason (or something like that let me know and I'll dig them out for you.
