Hi Folks

I've got a problem with the seat belt warning on my V70 T5 P Reg.

Basically, it's on all the time regardless of seatbelt fastening. Can't pull the fuse because there's other stuff fed through it.

According to my old 850 Haynes, the flasher relay has a permanent 12V feed with the ground conection being made via the seatbelt sensor - this is broken by insertion of the belt, hence no ground to the relay, no operation. With no seatbelt, the ground is restored and flash, flash, flash...

So, it should be simple enough to disable the seat belt warning by simply snipping this 0V (ground) wire at a handy point. (probably under the seat)

Only thing is.. my V70 is the 1st model so I'd expect it to be the same wiring as the 850 pretty much but I'd hate to make that assumption & snip the wrong wire. And as yet I haven't got myself a new Haynes to cover this one.

Does anyone have a Haynes to fit a P Reg V70? If so, could you have a look at the wiring diagram & tell me the colour of the wire that leads from the seatbelt sensor through to the relay? (It goes through various connectors en-route & may well change slightly but it's only a couple so describeable in a post)

Cheers - Dunc.

Funny you should mention this because my V70 belt warning only works on the drivers side......
