I honestly thought we were past unreliable cars, but no 2 days and 480 miles and it stopped, power train failure, acceleration reduced. Top speed limit.
I could only get up to 5mph with 85%charge and a full tank.

To add insult to injury, dealing with Volvo assist and customer services is pure torture. The left and right hand seemingly never have met before but every is quick to blame other departments. Who would have thought that Enterprise rental are the most transparent and helpful of the lot. Volvo…..useless. Just useless.

Anger does not even cover it.

I just had to get that out and anonymously posting on a forum seems the best and most constructive vent this evening

Perhaps a little exposition would have been in order, otherwise your rant is lacking in context. Is this a new car? What kind of driving were you doing? Any idea what failed? Any warning? Is this a bought, leased or rented car?

Sorry, not asking for your thoughts or suggestions, as I said I was ranting as I wanted to.

Lunar one asked very sensible questions,

Was it a brand new car?

Well if we're ranting, I'd like to have a rant at a lift that broke down the other day. I don't know where it was. I can't tell you much about it other than I imagine it was inconvenient to someone...

The title would suggest it broke down in the first two days, having covered 480 miles, but despite it being new and presumably in warranty, Volvo are being arsey or incompetent about fixing it.

If it were a second hand car that was new to the OP but had covered 99k miles and was out of warranty, would the OP be so angry and would he/she be getting a free courtesy car from Enterprise?

But yes, doing research on buying a Volvo, was considering a XC40 or XC60 at one point, I heard a lot of negative things about PHEV reliability, put me off them completely.

Indeed, 100% and clear evidence that intelligent people do exist. Shame other posters aren’t so.

I do. But only because they are snug. The next size up was too big and if I'd bought them I wouldn't have filled them.
