So my 2001 xc70 has been a reliable work horse until last week. Rpm would stutter and car would stall. Only at extremely low speeds or idle. Mechanic changed the throttle body as these are renowned for being a problem but after a few days we’re back to square one and now with the following error codes:

Ecm 6806 Turbocharger (TC) control system flow fault. Flow too low
ECM-644A-Camshaft control: Faulty Positon
ECM-91 80 Accelerator pedal (AP)
position sensor : Faulty signal
ECM-903F Throttle unit, internel fault
Signal too: low
ECM-908C Throttle umit. internal fault.
Faulty, signal
ECM-71 0A Control module, internal fault-signal
ECM-904D Pedal sensor fault
Faulty Signal
ECM-1300 Mass air flow (MAF) sensor flow to high
ECM-95801 Accelerator pedal (AP)
position sensor Signal too low
ECM-9400 Brake pedal sensor
Signal to high

Now lots of signals to high or to low.
Any and all help would be appreciated as we’re at a dead end.

I haven’t tried a new battery. Could it seriously be as easy as that?

It would be the first thing I tried if a ton of faults came up at once

Ok. I’ll get a new battery ordered and give that a go. Fingers crossed.

Random multiple electrical issues, common factor = battery very frequently.

Once you have fitted the new battery clear the codes and see what comes back after a few days running the car

Ok so new battery in, codes deleted. Only thing it’s doing which hasn’t thrown any codes back up yet is hinting at idle. But touch wood it has t cut out at all/stalled this afternoon.

They take some time to relearn idle from memory. Can't remember details but will try and have a look for you.

Thank you. All not solved yet though. Just thrown up the following:

Worth getting a throttle body clean and get the latest ECM/ETM software downloaded.

New throttle body recently fitted and had no problems. I guess with regards to software that’s a dealer visit which I don’t really want to do with a car of this age.

Try and find someone local who has Vida (Volvo diagnostics) and is willing to run a test for you

With the hunting and stalling at idle/low speed could it be maf and or maf sensor? Which would then I turn cause all of the other codes to be thrown up.( yes got all the codes back now)
