I am in the market for a towing car, I have had a V70 before a 1999 2.5 but dare i say it struggled a bit with the caravan we had which was near to it's towing capacity (my fault for believing the salesman).

Would not be getting such a heavy van now, don't like SUV's .

any one have a xc60? any advice/ experience please?

cheers

If you're looking new Volvo have temporarily stopped production of V60, there's the very rare instance where one trickles through but best assume you won't get a brand new one.

Looks like they have permanently dropped all Estates, a sad day for the Estate!

If they are anywhere near as good as my V90 CC it will be superb when towing. Effortless and stable. The adaptive cruise option is a must for long distance towing. Our van is c1400kg loaded, single axle.

It is a great car, feels very regal and high compared to our S80 which isn't much lower. smile
