Buying a Used V90 T5
Discussion
Currently eyeing up a used V90 Inscription with the T5 engine.
Anyone here had this engine/model combination and able to offer their thoughts good or bad? Aware it's not the most torquey given that it's petrol, but with the amount of issues i've had running a diesel the last few years, between egr/dpf/adblue playing up when they want to... Feel like petrol is the way to go.
Or , Should i be looking at the Diesel variant's instead? It'll probably be a fairly short-term vehicle as may look at ordering the new superb when it arrives, depending on pricing of course!
If the T5 is a good choice , any issues / real world MPG ?
TIA

Had a V90 CC with the T5 engine for 18 months.
Average economy about 28mpg
Driving wise it always felt like the car was fitted with half an engine. It was very lacking in torque and needed to be worked far harder than felt right in a car built for serene progress.
Replaced it with a 5 series estate which for similar money is a far far better car in so many respects.
The Volvo looks like it is a worthy contender sitting in a showroom but once lived with for a while I realised that it was great as a static object but on the move not a patch on a BMW.
