Hi

After 4 years driving a V60 D4 Momentum company car, it has now come the time to give it back.
There isn’t much out there that inspires me at the moment, and leaning towards upgrading to a V90 (this will be privately owned) although I don’t need the crea space.
I enjoyed owning the V60 but always felt that needed a little more grunt and, on uneven roads, the rear end wasn’t planted as I would have liked.
How would a V90 compare? Hoping the D5 engine would give me that little extra I was looking from the D4.
Looking at the numbers the V90 doesn’t seem that much heavier. Any idea on MPG on mix driving? currently getting an amazing 63mpg on long motorway journeys at 60mph and, can drop to early 40s depending on the speed.
Anything else to consider?

Thanks

D4 can be chipped to d5 output. V90 does 10% less mpg than above, but more comfortable and full of autonomous tech as standard to make it a very relaxing place to cover huge mileage.

Having this dilemma myself (although also tempted to look at EV options).

Looking at both available and similar prices on both.

The wife has a first gen facelifted xc60, and must say it’s such a comfy car, and it’s been something to tempt be away from bmw for the first time.

I did try an XC60 hybrid but didn’t get on with it, I think it was more down to the fact that I’ve never driven an SUV before, and only driven autos a handful of times.

I’ve been looking at BMW but the interiors leaves me cold (same as audi)

I did look at B4 and B6, the bhp makes them really tempting but unfortunately all out of budget
