Mk2 v70 prefaclift.

Can cruise be retrofitted. I know anything is possible but is it reasonable diy? Seen a lovely low spec one I fancy but cruise is a must.

I'm going to guess no.

As you say, nothing is impossible, but apart from the extra hardware you may need it'll probably be the alterations to the car's software configuration that'll be the issue.

Again, I imagine not impossible. Look up vdash and it's associated Facebook group, you might find an answer there.

I think you can.

There's official Volvo instructions, basically fit the steering wheel buttons and there are variables in the process if it is or isn't ore-wired, then basically activate via VIDA but it's unclear if it's a simple activation or a software download which is dealer / paid up subscription only. I'm fairly sure you can fit the buttons then tell the car it has cruise now using Vida to programme the CEM, but don't quote me!

Apparently, you change the steering wheel and enable cruise at the dealer. It sounds like the enabling is a £400 software upgrade though.

Lots of info from a google search on the topic

Crikey it’s tempting. I’ll report back if I get it.
