V90 wipers doing what they like

Evening all. I’ve had this 2017 car for nearly a year now and love it, but it does throw the occasional “quirk”. It’s currently wiping when it feels like it - if I’m switch on the rain sensors it’ll turn them off if it fancies but still do the odd wipe anyway. The nearest dealer is quite some way away and as I don’t get it serviced by them they’ll probably tell me it’s my problem (I’m also fairly sure it started when the continued service reminder came on!).

Are these things known for electronic gremlins? Is there a way of “resetting” the car or is it a main dealer (or specialist) thing and I just need to go?

Our 2016 XC90 had an issue with the wiper stalk - threw error messages noting a wiper service was required and did a few odd things. Stalk needed replacing.

Thanks, sorry, just seen this. £30 wiper stalk may well be worth a go as when it’s on, it works fine, so it must be something to do with the switch.
