850 estate… anyone had one wrapped?
Discussion
Having a chat with a wrapping chap, and his opinion was that the wrap highlights existing imperfections, so unless you are after chrome, or camo, or other "zany" schemes, you're probably better off saving up for a respray. Better resale value too. (or at least a wider resale market - I wouldn't touch a wrapped car)
I've had a car wrapped once! Never again, it's the worst thing ever. It fades in the sun, peels away in places after about 6 months, stone chips burst through the film and this was done by a highly recommended professional. I ended up taking it off myself after about 18 months and got the car resprayed properly. After that experience, I'd never get a car wrapped again or buy one that's been wrapped.
