2013 Volvo V60 - Nearside rear door locking issue?
Discussion
Have an odd intermittent issue...
Where the rear passenger door will not unlock when using the master switch or the FOB.
All other doors will unlock normally.
However, the door will unlock by pulling the door handle from the inside.
This has made it quite difficult to open the door from the outside?
Any ideas on this...?

I'll be very surprised if its anything other than the door latch.
Renowned for water ingress into them causing them to fail.
Try fill every orifice of it with WD40 and open and close it and lock and unlock it a load of times and it will live again, for how long is a different matter.
Mine did the same.

Thanks for the reply - I have done this abit, but not done the repeated lock/unlock yet. I did think it was a rear vehicle module going to sleep, so disconnected the battery for 10mins or so, didn't fix it.Renowned for water ingress into them causing them to fail.

It is actually @ Volvo tomorrow for the "seat belt recall fix" so I may get them to do a courtesy check of the offending door.
More a nuisance than a problem at minute, but will go mad on the lube for little more.
I took mine for the seatbelt recall and ended up getting a little Polestar action as well, there no listed polestar option I could see for my 163 hp D3, but they did one, 205ps now and a little blue badge to pop on it.
Certainly made a big difference to the mid range, its still all done by about 3600ish rpm though, restrictive turbo on these sadly.

Just to update this, the door completely locked from the outside eventually, still able to open from inside.
I tried to fix the lock with a used unit from a breakers ...it didn't work, and was more faulty than the one removed.
So, I had to buy a new lock from Volvo, £205 then get my mechanic to fit, so hour or so labour wasn't too bad in the end.
All fixed and working.
