Hi all,

Been looking at Volvo V60's, (2010-13) model.

Been to see X2 today, and both cars had substantial water ingress in the spare wheel, as much to the sellers/dealers amazement - underneath the tool kit etc, and in the bumper recess?

Is this a particular issue on the V60? If so, what causes this, and am I likely to keep seeing this as I search for a car.

The X2 cars I saw today, I was happily to walk away from, for other issues, but the water thing worries me somewhat?

Any owner advise would be appreciated.

On a sample size of 1(mine) which is a Jan 2014 car and model year, no, dry as a bone. I also have a spare wheel in there as I don't like being without such things. The space saver will fit with the standard hinged cover if you wriggle it about a bit smile

Ah interesting, ok - well I've purchased one now a V60 D3 (2013) and yes, that too was "dry as a bone" - so must be just the two I looked at, theywere shagged anyway and left alot to be desired. I am interested in the fact you said you had a space saver in yours?

What size?, And where could I source one? My first guess is 16" and eBay

EDIT - Found loads on eBay smile

I actually got mine as a complete kit with jack etc from here
https://www.volvoparts.tmsmotorgroup.co.uk/volvo-s...

As above, you don't need the special tray as it all fits securely and I have loads of other bits and bobs stored around it as it's nicely out of sight/doesn't roll about.

Bit late to this one I know but my 2011 V60 D5 used to regularly have up to half an inch of water in the wheel well.

I never established where it was coming from.

Decent car though, I still miss it.
