I was giving the car a through wash earlier, when I opened the fuel filler flap to clean in there I noticed the water pooling rather than running down the drain hole. I wiggled the drain hole a little with my finger thinking there must be a simple blockage and the clear pipe (which I guess routes the water down behind the rear wheel) completely came away from the black filler assembly and vanished inside the rear wing. Water is draining fine and coming out behind the rear wheel but no longer guided in the plastic tube ...

has this happened to anyone?

Should I be worried about potential water ingress or corrosion? ...

cheers in advance 🍻

Did you find a solution to this? I (stupidly) did the same poke on my XC90 and have also dislodged the drainage tube.

No I didn’t. I put it to the back of my mind and had completely forgotten about it until you posted your message! 👍

Nice to know I’m not the only one - please let me know if you find a fix!

Cheers!

Ha! Got it. Will speak to the garage next time I'm there and let you know. Doesn't seem to be a big issue but, like you say, no 100% happy about it draining into the wheel arch.
