SRS Light on

Hi all,

any idea what would be causing my 1999 V70 SRS light to come on?

Comes on and stays on when starting engine, blinks out for about half a second after about 5 seconds, then back on full time

I had the same with my C70.
It turned out that it quite a common problem.

My wife had been moving the front seats back and forth to clean under them.
The wires become brittle and also chafe.
Instead of fixing, I had the garage remove the code. It hasn't returned in two years. ( YET !! )

Funny you mention that, my wife's swears this happened a few years ago, and they just reset the codes....so I shall get garage to try that route
