Hi Folks

Still no further sorting out the dreaded faults on the C30 1.6d.

The car keeps coming up with "Anti Skid service required" and when i read fault codes it seems to be linked with the constant reoccurence of P0289 Boost pressure circuit A high.

Recent work on the car has been the following.

New Turbo

New DPF

New MAP sensor

New Battery

clean of the ABS sensors and front wheel bearings as there magnetic.

Pressure check of Intercooler for leaks.

The car will drive fine until any boost is used at circa 2500 rpm and then the Anti Skid message and reduced engine perfomance and 3000 rpm limit.

Is it possible that the fault is coming up because the ECU is looking for a set boost pressure at a certain RPM and due to a leak rather than an over pressure the difference between measured and actual reading is causing the loss of power and anti skid service message.

I'd like to get this car fixed so that i can give it back to my partner but given the car isn't worth much its hard to justify spending another £500 + on a garage bill

Thanks

What are you using to read the codes? Generic cheapo readers give ste reports on these platforms.

Thanks

Weve tried a couple of apps like Delphi and snap on but there aren't any ABS module codes.

Do you know if a leak on the turbo would cause this ref the high boost pressure fault code

Thanks

Where are you? I have the Volvo DICE VIDA software and hardware. It took me about 20 hours to install and get working and I’ve only used it twice. Would like someone else to have a go given the amount of effort I put into getting it working. It might be better than the kit you’ve tried.

This is what you need to get the full picture.

You spent a lot longer than necessary to download the Win10/VIDA machine that's pinned in one of the posts on Swedespeed smile

I had the same problem on the same vehicle. After much head scratching it came down to, believe or not, the boost sensor connection being loose. It was probably like it from the factory, one push, one click, job done.
