Is anyone running a XC60 T8 Polestar?
Discussion
Just test driven a XC60 Inscription pro T8 with Polestar optimisation as no proper Polestar versions about to test drive. Car was very quiet and smooth and pulled well but certainly didn’t feel as fast as the figures would suggest. Still a lovely car but I didn’t come away thinking wow I’ve got to have one. Salesman was a really nice guy but wouldn’t commit to any discount there and then. Carwow best was 15% off which I was happy with money wise but still not sure on the car itself. The dealer has a T8 Polestar engineered XC60 due in around December as a demo so might wait until then to have a look at that.
I just saw the Polestar engineered on the Volvo configurator a couple of months ago but didn’t realise it was new and 6 month wait. We’ve had 3 Volvo”s in the past but sold the last one in 2016 as my kids are grown up and the eldest has her own car so neither of us needed a large car or SUV anymore. My wife went for a complete change from a V70 to Mk7 Golf GTI in 2016 and I have a F80 M3. She’s was looking to change her car as it’s just over 3 years old and after going in a friends SUV I think she thought she’d go and try one.
XC60 T8 is a lovely looking SUV and drove great but we both felt it was just too grown up and boring, I think that would apply to any SUV. I could really feel the weight and realised I just prefer a more nimble vehicle. We don’t do many miles and neither of us use a car to go to work. She’s gong to wait for the Mk8 GTI.
XC60 T8 great vehicle but just didn’t suit us.
