I've just noticed the following today by accident so this maybe useful to others:

Car is locked, you open the boot from the button on the keyfob and you then close it from either the key or the button on the boot lid.

The boot STAYS UNLOCKED thereafter despite the doors being locked and despite the On Call smart phone app reporting the car is locked. You MUST lock the car again from the keyfob to lock the boot again. Not a big deal but behaves differently to every other car I've owned.

Is this not to prevent you from locking your keys in the boot?

I only discovered this by accident after a year or more of ownership. Didn’t read the manual
