Hi all,

Fairly new to the forum so be gentle.

I've had an engine management light on my Volvo C30 T5 edition (59 plate) for the past couple of weeks and despite having a fault code reader it wasn't until I ran into a friend that I was told that it was my fuel rail that needed replacing which in turn could also mean that I need new injectors. The friend couldn't give me any information on whether it was a big job or how much it would cost though.

I'm wondering is this a big job, how much it will cost and is it worth taking care of given that I am going to be selling the car in the next few months anyway.

Thanks in advance.

You need VIDA/DICE to properly diagnose the issue - is that what was used?

I had a EML on my Focus ST with the same engine on a 60 plate, turned out CAT was on it's way out. I had no issues with the car while the EML was on, drove and boosted fine. I would suggest if you've got no running issues with the car, then its unlikely to be the fuel rail.
