1.6 diesel auto V70 Questions
Discussion
Hi all, I am considering getting one of these, as a "learner" car, and also when not being used as the "learner" car my wifes run around.
We currently have a 2.5 diesel V70 1999 manual.
I know the power may be different, and it's an auto over a manual, but why shouldn't I buy one of these?
I like
V70's we have had ours for 20 years in May, and don't know how long it will last for, also worried about stricter emissions on it's MOT causing it to fail
It has been a great car for lugging, safety, comfort, and economy hence why I like it
The 1.6 may lack power? (not for the learners but for our general use?
is good on vehicle tax (£30) we pay about £240 currently
I am not concerned about using a V70 as a learner car, as I find the visibility great when reversing, and don't see why a learner couldn't. An auto would just my business an extra dimension as I have to turn a fair few potential customers away , and as it would also be used by the wife
are they reliable? is the auto box an issue?
any other points/comments please
cheers
