Hi Folks,
Looking to import a decent car for myself and have pretty much decided on a S90.

I'm looking for some assistance on the following item.

The car will have a speedometer graduated in MPH with a numerical readout in the middle.

Can the setup of the car be changed to KPH?

This would be particularly necessary for when others who may not be used to the conversion between MPH and KPH drive the car.

I'm also concerned that certain extras like speed sign recognition may not function correctly if the car is set up for MPH.

Regards

HD.

I’m pretty sure that this can be changed via dice/Vida (Volvo diagnostic thingy).

Best check with a dealer before purchase and you’ll have to book it in to be plugged in and altered or find someone who has a download.

From the Owners Manual (you can find it online):

Tourist - alternative speedometer
The alternative digital speedometer makes it easier to drive in countries where speed limit signs
are in a different unit than that shown in the car's
instruments.
The digital speed is then shown in the opposite
unit to that shown in the analogue speedometer.
If the analogue speedometer is graduated in
mph, the digital speedometer shows the corresponding speed in km/h and vice versa.
