Gut feel is that it would be tight on space (I think the 60 is a similar size to my wife's CRV and my son (9 this week) hates sitting in the back of that between his two sisters (3 and 2) who are in full size car seats.
No problem in my XC90 so that might be an option?
Thanks for the reply - unfortunately I think an XC90 maybe a little out of our price range unless I can get a really good lease deal. Not many other options available! No problem in my XC90 so that might be an option?

My advice would be to take your seats and try. The Audi Q7 is the only one that appears to have 3 full size seats across the middle row.
Our old XC90 - can do it as we use the central built in booster seat for the 7 year old. I am not sure if the new XC90 has one of these.
From all my research, the old shape XC90 is the only cost effective SUV to do a really good job of fitting in a large family - when our really old one finally dies, I will be buying the best old-shape one I can afford.
