Morning All

I'm currently running a last generation XC60 and am happy with its functionality, but feel the need to refresh it at some point.

I now driven a couple of new XC60s plus a XC40 so am gaining experience of the new system, but some of the useful features of the old system seems to be absent. Although I think I've made a fair effort at scouring the menus, I'm hoping that I've missed where a few things are lurking.

The most obvious is the reduction in the number of route options. My current car gives 3 fast routes and 3 eco routes, the one of eco options more often better matches my navigation preferences. The new system only seems to offer 3 (fast, eco and scenic), I'm guessing this reduction is trying to simplify options.

There seems to be less traffic information. The traffic button (hidden in a slightly obscure option) only offers traffic on the selected route, not the option to view traffic on all roads. I mentioned this to a salesman the other day and they suggested zooming out the display. I am finding zooming cumbersome and it doesn't seem possible to scroll the map. Does pressing the traffic incident icon give more information? Also when there is a traffic incident I haven't noticed a indicator of it on the display.

The only other thing that I haven't managed to sort is saving radio favourites, I'm sure there must be a better way than scrolling up a down of channels.

Sorry this ended up a bit longer and rambling than I intended, other than the seeming loss in navigation functionality I like the new range and I'm sure I could get over the loss of the 5 cylinder rumble.

Thanks for taking the time to read through.

Todd

I've just had another play, sorted saving radio favourites. Also getting traffic info off the map, press icon then press message bubble that appears to get detail.

What does seem odd is that the radio display gives program information in the shared view (where radio nav and phone have equal space), but apparently not in the 'now playing view'.
