Does anyone have one of these? Search isn't turning up much.

Giving it serious thought to replace my Saab 9-3 now that my mileage is going up, school runs in two different directions are hammering me along with endless trips to train stations / airports.

The appeal of plugging in and getting much if not all of the morning / evening runs done off a charge is huge, and then having the log burner in there for longer journeys. Reviews weren't all that complementary but then they never seem to be for anything Swedish, and after 20 years of happy Saabing I'm used to that.

Any and all input appreciated!

D6 vs D5? Can you even fit a towbar as none of the ones on AT seem to have one....? Wouldn't be for hardcore towing, I have the Landie for that, but it would be useful for a bike rack.

Definitely can have a tow bar on either

The D6 loses some boot space which I presume is due to battery storage.

Mate has one and it is rapid if you put it in sport mode where both electric and Diesel work at the same time. Also 4wd

Right, they seem pretty thin on the ground, but going to wander up to my "local" (nothing is local in the countryside) Volvo dealer and see if they have any more information on them.

My comparison was with non-hybrid models. I realise that there hybrid and non-hybrid D5s in the previous V60 and I assumed you meant the non-hybrid D5 for some reason.

There seems to be a D5 and D6 version of the hybrid, though confusingly the D5 uses the lower output diesel from the D3... biggrin

Yes I was aware the boot space is reduced by the battery pack, but I haven't yet even seen a V50 of that era in the metal so I have no comparison!

I think my v50 boot has more height, is slightly shorter and slightly narrower than the v60. I've not done a back-to-back comparison but that was my showroom impression of the v60

Hi, I've had a 2014 model for just over 12 months now, very happy with it, I brought it when my commute was 40 miles, now I do a 70 mile round trip and average around 52 mpg. Pottering about at the weekend is all electric so no desiel used. I looked at the Volvo and a lexus hybrid (430h petrol I think) and imo the Volvo was better.
Charging takes about 3 hours empty to full off the charge point about 8 hours off the mains.
If I can help anymore feel free to ask.
