Any one else tried to use the Volvo on call app with a Flic button? In settings, under devices, you can pair it with a flic button which i have done - but only the 'flash headlights' command is working - the other 2 i have tried setting up for lock car and start pre conditioning always fail. Be interested to know if anyone else has this working.

I figure 30 odd quid to have a little button by the bed that i can click to pre condition the car in a morning or check its locked at night (whilst the key is in a signal blocking bag) is alright - assuming i can get it to work reliably!

Haven’t tried the flic (yet) but the Volvo on call app stuff is awesome.

Sending locations from my phone and calendar locations to the car satnav alone makes it worth it.

The remote temperature setting stuff is brilliant as is all the car diagnostic bits.

I’ve got a new shape XC90 and it’s worlds apart from the old one in terms of all the technology in it.

It probably stuff other cars have had for years but it’s fun anyway.

Wow this sounds brilliant... would be lovely to preheat the car with a press of a button!

Keep us posted if it works or not!

You can already do it via your phone and the on call app, or are you wanting a heat button instead? hehe

I also a flic since it was in the on call manual. Looked like I could control the heating of the car after I auto-started. Looks like it’s given me functionality I already have! Any help would be great.

Don't you need the pre-heater option in the car for that to work?

You can start all of them remotely (but only for up to 15mins I think)...but not heat them.

What’s going on with the heater/air conditioning after the engine starts remotely? I never really use mine, I think last time I did it the display was blank. Plus when I did the seats all moved to my wife’s settings. Might try it again and investigate.

If you use android, you can get a widget for the home screen for remote start, which saves opening the app etc (though you still need to click OK on the password).

They've also just linked Google assistant with VOC in Europe now so you can use that too (and amazon echo thing if you have that)
