Did you manage to get a test drive in a T5?
All the cars in my local dealers to test were D4s and I was really underwhelmed with them coming from an Octavia VRS Diesel.
So much so (and so few other deals available) I think I might be buying a car...
I also only got to test a D4... they couldn't even offer a T5 in any other model to test. I found the D4 quick enough for normal use, and the T5 has a fair bit more power so should be fine. All the cars in my local dealers to test were D4s and I was really underwhelmed with them coming from an Octavia VRS Diesel.

The only poor thing was the autobox, it is sluggish, but it really isn't a performance car so I'm not too worried. That's what the Cayman is for anyway
I'm looking at these now, I'm presuming you have to have a Santander bank account to qualify for these deals?
The T5 looks a great deal but I like to try the car before buying but my local dealer reckoned end October before they get a petrol model.
However as it will be shared with the mrs I doubt it matters too much, the figures look decent enough.

Also my first ever new car, will be nice.
Regarding spec, I was happy with the fabric seats, and to keep it at such a bargain price I went with no options other then the free metallic paint. I was only
tempted to add the winter pack.
The Volvo On Call feature seems amazing, will be so nice in the winter to warm the car up before my commute using the app.
So nice that it has so many things as standard... auto LED headlights, powerfold mirrors, On Call, power tailgate, and the awesome looking Sensus connect.

I don't have a Santander account, and was never asked during the order process. I gather you can open a current account pretty quickly if they do ask you.The T5 looks a great deal but I like to try the car before buying but my local dealer reckoned end October before they get a petrol model.

Waiting for a V90 hereAccount opened online Sunday and approved immediately. Passwords and card drip fed through the mail all week.
Car ordered Monday and existing bank account used for credit check only. When car is approaching delivery they will ask for my Santander details for direct debit.
But baso if you wing it you can open a 1/2/3 Lite account in minutes if/when needed
Cheers

That's strange, I setup my direct debit at the time of ordering with a Natwest account. Just had an update that my delivery is due start of October!Account opened online Sunday and approved immediately. Passwords and card drip fed through the mail all week.

V60 Momentum T5, denim blue with City Weave (plaid) interior. 1+17, £273/mo, 8k miles/year.Not entirely sure why bomster's seems to be £20/month less though

I think I must have had a stroke.. I was convinced it was £253, but just checked my paperwork and it is indeed £273, doh! Still a bargain though. Not entirely sure why bomster's seems to be £20/month less though
