Hi there

This will do the job perfectly fine, volvo might be worth a shout though, we've a genuine volvo strut brace on the front and an ultra racing strut brace on the rear, made a massive difference to the front.

Hi 850R smile

Since posting I was offered a Volvo strut brace on the VPCUK website which I purchased, fitted on Friday, and have to say the difference to 'feel' on the front of the car is astonishing..... Interesting what you say about the rear brace though scratchchin hadn't thought about a rear brace.......... Next few bob on the car though will be shocks/springs/bushes........... I'm trying desperately to convince myself I must keep the car original (in the engine/bhp department) biggrin

Piccie...........

Ahhh great news, OE is much better, once you've got the bug you know it will spiral, if you are going to improve performance and chase bigger figures, you need to ensure its running right first, stage 0 is your starting point.

She's sound all round, new cam belt, brake fluid change, and engine oil and filter last Wednesday, and she had coolant and gearbox oil 18 months ago (less than 2k miles since)... plugs/dizzy/leads/timing all good smile suspension needs a 'refresh' though! She's got a tad over 80k on the clock and I suspect the shocks/springs and many of the bushes are original eek

She's my 'do it all' car, but I'm really only looking to keep her in top condition with just a few handling tweaks, but nothing major like bigger wheels, brakes, lowering etc.... Unfortunately though I'm a serial modifier hehe

This is her smile

Regardless of that, has the PCV system been done recently?

If not, like I said the stage 0 is where it's at.

Also presuming it has the 288 standard discs?

If so bin them, useless, fairly cheap way is the 302mm conversion just need different carriers.
