V40 T2 - any owners on here

Hi all

We're thinking about getting one of these for our family car as the wife's Civic has just hit 107k miles and is starting to feel a bit tired.

Not interested in a diesel, test drove a 2017 T2 momentum nav plus yesterday, seemed to go ok albeit not a hot hatch but nice gearchange, really quiet compared to the Civic and lovely interior although a fair bit smaller, only thing that concerns me as we have a 4 year old lad who is quite tall for his age.

Our budget is circa £12-£13k and looking for 3 year old max, plenty around but wanted the opinions of owners on here. Any faults to look out for, are you happy with them etc, what MPG do you get?

I've got a new one, 2k on the clock, average of 36mpg at present, nice enough car, fairly nippy but plenty of fwd wheel spin in damp conditions. Comfy car, good sat nav and voice command actually works! Room enough for two kids (2&5) in the back. I'd recommend on what i've seen so far, but i wouldn't have one as my only car...
