How to ID premium sound upgrade on a V70?
Discussion
Afternoon all,
due to a change in circumstances (liquidation of my employer), my company vehicle will be going back soon (shame - 6 month old Ford Ranger 3.2l Wildtrack) so I need some cheap, reliable wheels in the shed/bangernomics category (ish) to keep me mobile for, maybe 6 - 9 months, until I can justify taking on a lease, or making a bigger purchase. Looking around the £2k mark, less if possible.
I need to carry PPE gear for myself & possibly clients & will be doing around 2 - 2.5k miles per month. Mrs Fang & 2 x dogs have to be accommodated at weekends, so I've pretty much settled on a V70 diesel auto estate. Alternative would be a Saab 9-3 estate, but I'm erring towards the Volvo.
Soooo I hear these can come with a "premium sound" upgrade. If it doesn't say in the ad, how can I tell from looking at the interior - dash, door cards etc?
Pointers would be appreciated, along with any other things I should be looking out for on a 100 - 150k mile example.
Many thanks in advance, CF.

From memory - on that age of V70 the most obvious difference with the upgraded stereo is in the front door cards.
The standard ones have a speaker each low down, in front of the door bin. The upgraded ones have a second speaker each, between the first speaker and the door bin, and angled to the rear of the car. I think the door bins are correspondingly smaller too. Some google pic searches should show what I mean.
