Since pistonheads seem to not be able to announce any new car unless it’s sold by VAG, Volvo have just launched the new v60, which to my eyes is stunning. It just looks right from every angle, how anyone could walk past it and buy a melted c class or a swagline a thon 3 series is beyond me.

2 hybrids in the line up too, and thank god, the option to have a light coloured interior!

It does look very nice, the V90 is lovely but i think a many find the length of it off-putting so this here should be the answer.

Really nice that.

If it's anywhere near as good as the old V60, it'll be a great success. The only thing putting me off is the lack of diesel option for relaxed cheap mile munching

Certainly looks nicer than a 3 series

Pretty car. I like the idea of a PHEV version as it suits this kind of vehicle.

For many the thought of only 2 litres and 4 pot is usually the start of the problem.

The VEA engine is impressive, but even in our Polestar V60 it can sound a bit naff at higher load.

I think Volvo have nailed it wil this... proportionally it looks just right, save for perhaps the bonnet being a touch too long / Audi from a side profile.

The rest of it looks spot on.

Can’t be that many though, how many people really opt for a 340 over the 320? Certainly can’t be many these days. especially company car tax payers.

Looks lovely - a smaller and better proportioned V90. Shame it doesn’t come in anything more than a 4 pot engine though.

That's a very nice looking car, inside and out, and the hybrid T6 and T8 sound interesting...

That looks fantastic IMO, as does the current XC60

Nope, reading the article, petrol and diesel as well as the hybrid until next year when only hybrids will be offered.

Volvo UK website seems to only have the Diesel engines available to select from when building.

Petrol and hybrid will be coming and no doubt an r-design and a cross country derivative.

Lovely looking thing and as an impressed V60 owner already, I may well stick with the brand come renewal time.

Quite long though! Only 10cm shorter and just as wide as a V90.

Good time to be a Volvo dealer. Very impressive range atm.
