Hello all,
My T5 has has a lot of work done, rebuilt cylinder head, totally refurbished autobox, refurbished turbo, replaced coil packs, new plugs, to list only the main ones.
It still doesn’t pull. My S60 2.4t is certainly far stronger at bottom and mid, which is a function of the smaller turbo, but crucially, the T5 is only marginally better above 4,500, but still feels like it’s 200 bhp at the very best. The main issue is it feels as if it’s not revving freely, it’s feels like an unhappy engine.
Any suggestions? There are no OBD II code faults at all. Whatever it is, it’s relatively subtle.
My thoughts are knackered throttle body or cam timing slightly off, but I’m no mechanic, not even close.
Suggestions would be very welcome.
