2012 S60 T5 R-Design - thoughts and opinions please?

Whilst browsing the forums looking for a new car, I stumbled across this S60:

Volvo S60 2.0 T5 R-Design 4dr (Nav), 2012, 88k miles, £9,495.

I don't know a lot about Volvos but am quite smitten by this. I'd value any thoughts on this model/engine and so on.

Very nice, but average of 35mpg is this realistic?

I bet it guzzles the fuel but if this isn't a problem then go for it.

I've been looking at the D5 versions as they go like stink and sound decent for a oil burner. I have old version s60 D5.
