Volvo V70 loosing power
Discussion
Afternoon all.
We have a 17 year old V70 2.4 petrol that's been super reliable all it's life up until now.
It has started loosing power/ refusing to rev.
It only does it when hot. Did it coming out of London the other day and has done it on the motorway too more recently.
Switching it off, waiting a minute or two and then starting it seems to solve it every time.
When it happens it still idles perfectly but with no power.
Do any of you have any ideas what's up?

Just had a very similar issue with our early series 2 (Sep 2000) V70 2.4T, though in my case it also misfired if you pushed it hard. Turned out to be the MAF sensor - garage fitted a second hand one and it has returned to full power with no hesitation at all. The MAF did not throw any fault code, which had confused me
Hope this may be of some help.
