First Volvo...
Discussion
So after many years of Saab and then Audi ownership and a short lived VW Golf R, I picked up my first Volvo today.
2014 XC60 D5 (205?) Auto SE Lux with drivers and winter pack.
Have to say I'm pretty impressed. Feels like it could eat continents, which is something I loved about my prior Audi A6.
Also impressed by the dealer (Ray Chapman) - nice old school dealer. No high pressure sales, reasonable negotiation and a nice chat with people who believe in their product.

Another Volvo newbie here.
Went looking at the usual suspects but I've never really gelled with the German stuff (nothing wrong with them, just not my cup of tea). My nearest dealer was Volvo and they had a fully loaded V60 SE Lux Nav D5 auto within my budget so I thought what he hell, let's have a look.
Went for a test drive and I was sold. Comfortable, powerful, reasonably economical and as the previous poster said, it looks like it could eat continents for breakfast. Probably the easiest sale the dealership made who were also relaxed, zero hard sell and passionate about the product.
Got a stload of driving to do over Christmas and for the first time I'm actually looking forward to it!

Same here. It's got everything apart from an electric tailgate and 3 weeks in I think it's great. The DAB and Bluetooth work faultlessly and the heated leather seats are great. Of course being an SE Lux it even rides nicely too. The fact it's totally under the radar is a massive bonus.

Did the same thing 6 months ago from the same dealer, although went R Design and absolutely love it, which really surprised me.2014 XC60 D5 (205?) Auto SE Lux with drivers and winter pack.

Put new front tyres on in the last couple of weeks, should have checked better when I bought it!!!, and their prices were un-beatable but by god are they slow at fitting them.
