Anybody got one ?
Auto ?
Any good ?
Look quite nippy on paper ,would be ideal for my truck stuff in the back under cover and has enough go go to keep me entertained.

Bit of a bargain really
They are very good cars generally.
Engine is essentially the inline 5 from the bigger volvos minus a cylinder. The 2.0t is not to be confused with the more powerful T4 which came as both a 1.9 in the earlier cars and a 2.0 in the later.
Engines are largely reliable as is the drivetrain. Never driven an auto S/V40 but I suspect they are fine.
The odd coil pack fails but there is only 2 to replace and they are cheap. Cambelts should be done every 40 or so thousand miles despite what Volvo say.
They do rust a bit more than your average Volvo but no more so than any of their rivals.
They're not desperately economic and the auto would do the mpg no favours but I would say the turbo is marginally more economic thanks to its more effortless performance.
I've recommended them to several people in the past and all of them now swear by them.
Don't pay over the odds for it though - being a 2003 it should be a run out model with good spec
