I like my barges, after a 760, GS430, 730, turbo R i think I see a trait, well a few years ago I fancied a S80 V8 with 35% off but it didn't happen however a 2008 really nice one has popped up near me for £7,500 and I'm tempted.

Anyone got an insight? Is the 4wd so weak it's useless? Any other weak bits ? I know it's very quiet!

I read somewhere that the suspension isn't great so needs checking. (General S80 review, not specific to this model.)

Would love to hear a Volvo V8.

That generation S80 is a lovely car. Only ever driven a D5, I'd imagine a V8 is a little nose-heavy, though.

D5 engine is probably heavier than the V8 at a guess.

Just make sure the steering pump recall has been done. Mine has been perfect, fantastically reliable car as most are but it's a motorway cruiser, not a sports car. Very comfortable place to be and well equipped too.
