V60 Polestar Depreciation
Discussion
Have I got this right? ~£15k depreciation in one year????

Will they continue to depreciate at this sort of accelerated rate? Potentially a massive bargain in another year?

Hoping to replace my aged V70 with one of those in a year or so...
Volvos really do lose loada in value. Our new V40 is worth £27,400 but looking on car sales for V40's with less than 5,000 on clock and only a 2014 model is selling for £12,000 region. Practically a brand new car at such mileages.
Would love a R-Design and considering maybe that type of model after our lease ends.

£15K is not bad depreciation for a car like this. Sadly too few examples to drop like we'd like them to.
We need the price of petrol to go up to get these down to where we want them to be.
Quite pleased actually - those prices have not moved much more than 1-2K in the 6 months since I took delivery of mine - bought as a newly registered demo. It likes a drink - but is better than some of the alternatives I was thinking of. It's everything it set out to be a loopy but practical estate with a serious attitude. We need the price of petrol to go up to get these down to where we want them to be.
love it.

guess dealers knew this was coming
not sure why they bothered with normal aspiration to switch up soo quickly

My 3.0 inline 6 Polestar has a great big chuffing Borg Warner turbo on it -the new ones have I believe a turbo+supercharger using the new volvo universal 2.0 engine block... The question is do you want 4 or 6 ? Hint the 6 sounds bloody gorgeous!guess dealers knew this was coming

I see that there are a few 'new' 2015 cars for sale at £35k - I love the concept and it's an itch I'm very keen to scratch; any idea what I should be bidding the dealers at? Who has paid what for theirs?
Mine was discounted by £9k last summer when it was registered. It's a lovely thing . . .W12JFD said:

Just last week was offered one for £39.5k, that's brand new and unregistered.I've had V70's and XC70's for nearly 25 years. I was going to treat myself to a V60 Polestar, nearly new, nothing available below £37.
I get on very well with my Volvo Dealers (Clive Brook, free plug) I made my offer "I'll buy at £35", they couldn't get there.
Then I discovered that the BMW 3 series could have 4 wheel drive.
So for £35k'ish I have a brand new highly specced 330D Touring Msport Xdrive, which performs almost as well and uses half the fuel, and should not depreciate quite as badly.
As the Volvo folk said, "You've gone to the dark side"
and loving it
