I'm looking at a Volvo V50 2.0d s (euro4) at an indepent dealer, it's done 58k and has full service history.
The asking price is 5k, initially I thought this sounds reasonable but looking around maybe this is a bit much? It's not in the best condition either with its fair share of little dents and scratches!
Would also be interested to know if there's anything I should be looking out for when viewing these cars.
Thanks.

I think he's trying to create a premium price on the low for age 58K miles.
How about go for a higher mileage example £2500 for a 100K?
Mines done 151k now (54 plate) and no major problems other than alternator and a couple of swing arms rubber bushes.

That's spot on the answer I was looking for really. My current car a 3series is on 160k with no problems so I'd much rather spend around half the money on a 100k+ car.
I test drove it today and its a great car even though it was base spec, now I've just got to find the right one!
Thanks again.

Glad to help.
Even the low spec cars seem good.
On my S I've...
Heated front seats
heated electric door mirrors
climate control
Cruise control (never used)
Auto wipers (never used)
Head lamp washers.

Though maybe it had a 'pack' added to get these items.
