Hi. My petrol superwagon has just developed "air brakes". When I depress the foot brake I get a hissing sound coming from the foot area. Brakes work well and after about 10 min the noise goes, except for a very faint hissing sound.
Volvo dealer says that I need a complete new brake servo. All in cost, shade under £800.
Any recommendations or,experience on this matter would be welcome.

£200 for the servo from EuroCarparts. Not a long job If you're half competent with a spanner.

Thanks Martin, but they don't have the unit for the SE model (DSTC facility)

I didn't realise they were different.

Contact someone like PFS, they're usually reasonably priced. I've used them a few times. Jamie (the volvo guy there) is always very helpful.
