Morning all quick questions as just got into work. On way to work this morning had a slight hesitation while accelerating then had Dtsc service required and another brake assist service required, turned the car off upon arrival and turned it back on again and stuck with 'dtsc temporary disabled' seems to be stuck with that but can't have a proper look till tonight after a quick Google I'm guessing it will be a speed sensor or abs module on it's last legs but any other ideas to check would be great. also if anyone has a code reader in Cheshire or Merseyside I'd be greatful if I could borrow you for 5 minutes in of which I will pay you with beer as a thank you (who can turn down free beer?) car is a 08 plate v70 T5 phase 2. cheers!

I would say that it is one of the front reluctor rings. Possibly a crack or very rusty.

Abs control modules do suffer with dry solder joints - can be repaired - will cause all manner of problems intermittently - various things will take a speed reading from it - speedometer , tracs, brakes etc - grotty abs rings usually cause faults at higher speeds as the sensor struggles to take a reading when it's rotating quickly

Yep, if you're handy with a soldering iron and circuit boards - pig to get the module open though

Update on the situation. error came back this morning but also had a low battery warning, after a quick Google seems to be that it could be the battery failing that could be causing the issue? Anyone know if this is correct? thanks smile
