V70 Air con smell.

Hi,

Have 2004 V70 with climate control.

Just after start up I get a musty / damp smell from the vents.

Anyone know how to cure this?

Mine used to do that at this time of year.

Keeping the air inlets at the base of the windscreen clear of leaves and other vegetation helped a lot.

Buy some air con deodorant. You spray it into the system intake while it's running. It kills the bacteria in the system.

Common on all cars where the condenser gets damp and the moisture goes stagnant - As said you can buy an anti-bacterial treatment for them
